This will be Coach Fuller's third year at Woodcreek, after assisting with the Varsity in 2008 he lead the Freshman program to a SFL Championship in 2009. It is his second tour at the high school level after coaching Casa Roble High in 1981 - 1984. Coach Fuller has been actively involved in coaching baseball for 20 years at all levels from T-Ball to 18U travel teams which was highlighted by his 13 year-old travel team winning the 2000 Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, CO. Daughter Kourtni (2003) and son Opie (2005) are WHS graduates. Son Opie played for Coach Lance Fischer, Coach Kelly Mayo, and Coach Fred Fischer on Woodcreek's 2004 CIF Sac-Joaquin Division 2 Championship team.
Kevin Aguilar is in his fourth year as an assistant coach at WHS. Kevin has been playing baseball since the age of five, and continues to play today. He attended Woodcreek High School from the Fall of 2002 to the Spring of 2005. He played two seasons at Junior Varsity, and two seasons at the Varsity level. In 2004, he, along with his older brother Johnny, helped the Woodcreek baseball team to it's first ever Division II championship. Kevin's knowledge as a catcher and love of baseball brings an added dimension that is both welcomed and needed and will help to play a roll in the success of this years' team.
John Aguilar is back coaching for the 3nd time at WHS. In 2002, he was an assistant under Dave Nutter at the J.V. level. He has coached at various levels for his four boys for over 15 yrs. He has managed numerous Little League teams and All-Stars, Jr. Legion, and assisted at the Jr. College level under current SJSU head coach Sam Piraro. His sons Johnny and Kevin were members of the 2004 championship team coached by Lance Fischer, Kelly Mayo, Fred Fischer and Jeff Nereson. His wife Lisa has been a former secretary of the Dugout Club and a manager of two senior teams in WLL's inaugural season. Coach Aguilar is also currently giving individual instructions on the fundamentals to Ben, his 2 yr. old grandson.
Opie Fuller is in his second year as an assistant coach at WHS. Opie has been playing baseball since the age of five, and continues to play today. He attended Woodcreek High School from the Fall of 2001 to the Spring of 2005. He played two seasons at Junior Varsity, and two seasons at the Varsity level. He helped Woodcreek to the 2004 CIF Sac-Joaquin Division 2 Championship, and was also a member of the 13U 2000 Triple Crown World Series Champion, River City Panthers. Opie will be working with the pitchers this year. His knowledge and passion for baseball will play a key role in the success of this year’s team.
