Woodcreek Falls On a Lone Run in The 1st
Varsity vs Rocklin HS on 4/23/2010 4:00:00 PM

Justin Smith took the ball for the final game of the Rocklin set and went about his business in the usual fashion, pounding the bottom of the strike zone, mixing pitches and speeds, and using the tailing effect of the lefty fastball to his advantage. Though he limited Rocklin to 4 hits in a complete game, a lone Rocklin run in the first was all they needed to take the win 1-0.
The offensive outburst seen Thursday was absent as Woodcreek bats turned cold with 3 hits scattered over 7 innings via a John Peska double, and Shaun Mize and Justin Smith singles.
The T-Wolves go back to business Monday against Del Oro, at Woodcreek, seeking to put together a late season push in the final six games.
