An excellent defensive effort and timely hitting spelled the end for the Eagles in the finale of the Woodcreek/Del Oro set that concluded Friday at Del Oro. Woodcreek earned their second win of three games with Del Oro as Justin Smith stymied the Eagles offense holding them to one run in a complete game victory and the T-Wolves played error free ball the entire game. Woodcreek scored a run in each of the first three innings while adding two in the final frame to take the win 5-1. Shaun Mize lead the offense going 2 for 3 with a double while Justin Forsyth found a fastball and decided to deposit it over the center field fence.
After a short break play continues Monday May 10 as the regular season wraps up with three final games against Nevada Union, the first at Nevada Union, the second and final home game at Woodcreek Tuesday the 11th , concluding Thursday at Nevada Union.
