After Battering each other mercilessly in splitting the first two games of the three game set, Woodcreek travelled to Granite Bay to settle up and did so convincingly. The T-Wolves brought the noise on offense with a Raposa HR and, after both teams opened up with two runs in the first, Tyler Milani, starting pitcher for the Timberwolves put on a show by shutting out the Grizzlies the rest of the way in a complete game victory.
Woodcreek 7, Granite Bay 2.
After taking two of three games each from two highly ranked teams, in Roseville and Granite Bay, the T-Wolves are no longer the best kept secret in the SFL. The three games with Granite Bay were each won decisively with a total of 43 runs scored, 29 of them belonging to Woodcreek while the Roseville contests were each decided by one run with one of the games heading into extra innings. The T-Wolves demonstrated great depth of roster with multiple contributions as the Granite Bay set showed signs of becoming a war of attrition during the first two games which posted scores of 18-8 and 14-4 in the 2 game split. When it all boiled down the T-Wolves showed their tenacity heading into Grizzly country determined to show the host team that the first contest was no fluke and did so convincingly.
The T-Wolves take a short break from League play as they begin the Gina Montes Surewest Tournament with the first game taking place Saturday at 2:00 at Rosemont HS.
