Rocklin got all the breaks, Woodcreek made a few mistakes. T-Wolves 3 Rocklin 10.
The T-Wolves saw scores in both the third and fourth frames. In the third Jay Standen drew a walk, and Austin Hagarty drove him in with a triple to right. In the fourth Kyle Dixon doubled and Tyler Milani drove him home with a single, Wade Brill walked and, with two out, Jay Standen tripled to deep center bringing in the second run of the inning. Rocklin held the T-Wolves scoreless the rest of the way, scattering eight Woodcreek hits but turning a pair of crucial double plays, while their offense capitalized on every opportunity, hit the ball fairly well and when they didn’t it seemed the ball found holes.
With the first game of the three game set finished, Woodcreek heads to Rocklin to even the score on Wednesday with the finale on Friday at Woodcreek.
