Woodcreek had no answer for #7, who cruised on the rubber. Woodcreek managed just one hit off of the Lincoln's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Austin Blatnick rose to the occasion out of the bullpen, hurling two innings of shutout ball while racking up one strikeout and giving up one hit and one walk.
Devin Astor threw one inning of scoreless ball for Woodcreek.
Woodcreek jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Mize kicked things off for Woodcreek with a single. A stolen base then moved Mize from first to second. Kyle Dixon doubled, scoring Mize. Stephen Nogosek followed with another double advancing Dixon to third. Woodcreek pushed 2 more runs across when Dixon and Nogosek scored on an RBI single by Perry Beaber.
Woodcreek stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third with Mize scoring on a stolen base and throwing error.
Woodcreek increased its lead with two runs in the fifth. An Austin Hagarty base hit scored Stephen Nogosek to kick the inning off. That was followed up by a fielder's choice that scored Hagarty
