Behind JS's complete game, Woodcreek took game one 7-1.
JS on mound the mound for Woodcreek and started fast getting two outs on just two pitches, but let things get interesting by walking the next two; however he induced a ground out to end any real threat.
JW lead off the inning with an infield hit. But it got earased on a failed sac bunt attempt but the runner reached first on a fielder's choice. JR Struck out but JG stole second on the pitch. AL worked a full count and reached on error. JG scored. JH followed with a double. AL scored on pick off error at second. KP doubled in JH. DR line drive singled and BT walked to load the bases. Woodcreek didn't capitalize further when a come backer was hit to Del Oro's pitcher, but Woodcreek had taken a 3-0 lead after one.
JS Allowed two base runners but got outs in between. Del Oro did no damage.
Woodcreek had batted the whole order so the second lead off with JW. He grounded out, but JG drew a walk and JR was hit by a pitch. AL loaded bases drawing 4 pitch walk.. JG scored on slow roller JH beat out . Inning ending double play stopped Woodcreek from doing further damage but they had added to their lead going up 4-0.
JS had a 1-2-3 inning with another great catch by CS in center field in the strong wind.
DR leads of with another liner up middle for a single. BT struck out on a great curve. DR steals second and takes third on a wild pitch. CS grounds out but JW drives one off the pitcher for single and scores DR. JW takes second on throwing error but a ground out ends the inning. But again Woodcreek added to its lead 5-0.
Del Oro leads off with a shallow fly ball to right field but JH recovers and throws the runner out trying to take second. JS retires the next two batters to record another 1-2-3 inning.
Woodcreek drew a lot of walks and hit the ball hard scoring two. The damage could have been more but a runner was thrown out at home. After four, Woodcreek held a 7-0 lead.
Another great catch by CS in center field helped Woodcreek stop Del Oro from scoring. JS allowed some baserunners but allowed zero runs.
JG grounded out, JR drives a double and AL draws his third walk, but Woodcreek failed to capitalize.
JS carried a shut out into the 6th inning and despite allowing a base runner, Del Oro failed to score.
DR lead off with ANOTHER hit. BT executed a sac bunt but two hard hit line drives directly at fielders stopped Woodcreek from scoring.
Del Oro lead with a bomb triple and JS looked like he would maintain his shut out getting two line outs that failed to score the runner but Del Oro broke threw with shallow single. JS recovered and struck out the next batter to end the inning and game. Woodcreek had taken game one 7-1.
