Woodcreek had to fight hard to keep Del Oro at bay and a productive first two innings helped as Del Oro seemed to have found a way to cool Woodcreek off.

Woodcreek scored two in the first inning and three in the second inning.  Although CL was on the mound for Woodcreek, he was leaving a few balls up in the zone and seemed to have lost his change up.  Despite that, Del Oro was held to one run in three innings, but that wouldn't last.

Woodcreek failed to score in the top of the third and went into the bottom of the third leading 5-1.  It was in the bottom of the third that Del Oro did some damage.  They led the inning off with a single and a sac bunt moved the runner over.  The number two batter also singled and CL walked the number three batter to load the bases.  The number four batter who had driven a hit to the opposite field fence his first at bat, made CL pay for leaving a ball up in the zone blasting a grand slam over the right field wall to tie the game 5-5.  SC came into the game in relief and got the final out on one pitch.

The lead was regained by Woodcreek in the top of the fourth as CS and JW got back to back singles.  CS was thrown out on a force out at third but JW stole second and took third on an error.  He scored on a ground out.

Del Oro failed to match Woodcreek in their part of the fourth and Woodcreek failed to score in the top of the fifth.  But Del Oro did tie the game in the bottom of the fifth.  Woodcreek pulled away scoring one run in their part of the sixth and seventh inning.  SC and Woodcreek shut down Del Oro the final two innings and took game two 8-6.
