Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman down Yuba City, 8-5

NK collected three hits, sparking Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman to an 8-5 victory in seven innings over Yuba City on Thursday at Yuba City High School.

He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

CF got the win for Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman. He allowed two runs over three innings. CF struck out four, walked four and gave up one hit.

Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman closer ZW put away the final 12 outs to record the save.

Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a fielder's choice and an RBI single by NK.

Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman put up two runs in each of the second, fourth and sixth. In the second, Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman scored on an RBI single by TK, scoring MW.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the second, Yuba City faced just a 4-1 deficit. A walk triggered Yuba City's comeback. Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman stopped the rally after CF got the strike out.

One run in the bottom of the third helped Yuba City close its deficit to 4-2. An RBI single gave Yuba City life. But, CF got a fly out to end the inning.

Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman increased its lead with two runs in the sixth. A hit into a fielder's choice scored ZH to get Woodcreek Timberwolves Freshman on the board in the inning. That was followed up by a ZW single, bringing home Noah.
