Woodcreek recovered from poor play on Tuesday to lay the wood to Granite Bay and tie up the series one game each.  It didn't start off pretty with the pre-game infield/outfield warm up looking sloppy.  Adding further wonderment if the game was going to be a repeat was the first inning error that allowed Granite Bay to score a run.

So down 1-0 to start the bottom of the first, Woodcreek went to work.  They scored four in the bottom half of the first and never looked back.  In fact, going into the top of the 5th, Woodcreek was on track to mercy rule Granite Bay if it held onto the 12-1 lead they had; however, Woodcreek stumbled just a little and let base runners reach base in between recording some outs. Granite Bay made the most of it and hit a double that scored two runs.  But that was all the damage.

So going into the bottom of the 5th and leading 12-3, Woodcreek started to put pressure on Granite Bay despite a lead off fly ball out by AL who may have tried to 'win it' with one swing.  Woodcreek ended up loading the bases and JcS hit a fly ball that landed between the outfielders and the short stop and that scored the walk off run.   Woodcreek won it in 5 innings with a 10 run win, by the score of 13-3.

Woodcreek committed only 2 errors, Granite Bay committed 1.  And in a reversal of hitting, Woodcreek batted .357 while JP held Granite Bay to a .150 batting average.

Let's see what the third game holds........
